Important Instructions and Recommendations for Safely Observing the Solar Eclipse
ECLIPSE OBSERVATION GLASSES

Below are some instructions and warning notes recommended by our suppliers for the correct use of these products.
- INSTRUCTIONS: Inspect before each use. Do not use or discard if damaged, torn, punctured, or separated from the frame in any way. Do not use with other optical devices. Not a toy. Children should use only under adult supervision. Limit continuous use to 3 minutes, with breaks for several hours. Do not move while using this product, do not drive a vehicle or operate machinery. Do not use if you have a diseased eye or after eye surgery.
- WARNING: Never look directly at the sun without special eye protection. Always wear eclipse glasses when observing a solar eclipse, especially if part of the sun is visible. Looking directly at the sun can cause permanent damage if proper precautions are not taken. Appropriate eye protection, specifically designed for solar observation, must be used to prevent harmful rays from the sun from reaching the eyes. Discard after 3 years and do not use after that time.

SOLAR OBSERVATION WITH TELESCOPE
- Never look at the sun through an eyepiece/telescope without a verified protective filter. A moon filter can never be used for solar observation. The moon filter is only suitable for moon observation. The solar filter must be mounted on the telescope aperture, not on the eyepiece. Otherwise, the light beam concentrated by the optics will immediately destroy the filter film, leading to severe eye damage and even total blindness.
- Check the solar filter before each solar observation and ensure it is not damaged. Hold it up to a strong light source to detect any possible cracks and/or holes. Do not use the telescope for solar observation, even if the solar filter is only slightly damaged. In this case, contact the manufacturer for appropriate replacement parts.
- Always use the solar filter when observing the sun. Make sure this filter is correctly placed on the telescope according to the instructions. The use of the solar filter is intended only for use with this telescope.
- Check the fit of the solar filter before each solar observation. If it accidentally comes loose from the objective aperture, this can cause immediate and permanent eye damage, and even blindness.
- If the solar filter cannot be mounted firmly enough on the tube, improve the fit by placing several self-adhesive felt strips or similar between the solar filter and the objective aperture. Never use the solar filter if it cannot be properly placed on the telescope. In such a case, always contact our customer service first.
- Exercise extreme caution when observing the sun. Even a brief look through unprotected optics can cause severe eye damage and even total blindness.
- Children, even with the filter correctly mounted, should not look at the sun through the telescope. Never leave children unsupervised.
- Never leave optics unattended. Children and inexperienced adults could point the telescope at the sun without proper precautions and lose their sight.
- Do not perform solar observations without prior consultation with a doctor after eye surgery or any other eye disease.
- Waves/creases in the film are normal and do not constitute a product defect.
- Do not expose the device to high temperatures.
