Some samples are autofluorescent, while others need to be treated with fluorochromes.

The attachment is installed in the optical path, between the microscope head and the stand. The attachment incorporates a 5-position revolving turret with four filter cubes for different wavelengths: broadband blue (B), green (G), and ultraviolet (UV), and narrowband red (R). The necessary filter cube is introduced into the optical path by rotating the ring. One turret position corresponds to brightfield observations. The side knobs are used to adjust the aperture of the field and aperture diaphragms.

The excitation light sources are LEDs. LEDs instantaneously reach the brightness configured by the user, do not heat up during prolonged use, and switch off quickly if necessary. This facilitates the transition between brightfield and fluorescence techniques. The LED lifespan is 50,000 hours. It is recommended to opt for LED-based fluorescence for higher education, as it requires little maintenance and is the safest.

To use the fluorescence technique, use the MAGUS Epi-FL05 LED attachment in conjunction with the MAGUS PlanF S-Apo fluorescence objective set. The semi-apochromatic plan fluorescence objective improves the resolution of the microscope and reduces chromatic and spherical aberrations. The image in the eyepieces and through the digital camera is sharper, higher contrast, and brighter than with a conventional achromatic plan objective.
The high numerical aperture of fluorescent objectives improves the resolution of the microscope, but at the same time reduces the depth of field. Therefore, for transmitted light observations, we recommend using regular objectives from the microscope set with a greater depth of field.

Compatibility:
MAGUS Bio 290T biological microscope

Package:
Epifluorescence attachment
B/G/UV/R fluorescence filter cubes
Protective screen for UV rays

Specifications:
Excitation light source: LED
Fluorescence filter cubes: filter type, excitation wavelength/dichroic mirror/emission wavelength: blue (B), 460–495nm / 505nm / 510nm; green (G), 510–550nm / 570nm / 575nm; ultraviolet (UV), 330–385nm / 410nm / 420nm; red (R), 620–650nm / 660nm / 670–750nm

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0552/6198/6860/files/85158_magus-epi-fl05-led-epi-fluo-attachment_00.jpg?v=1772207787
https://astrotelescopios.com/en-uk/products/accesorio-de-epifluorescencia-magus-epi-fl05-led-cubos-de-filtros-de-fluorescencia-b-g-uv-r
