(numerical aperture) is lower than that of the condenser. The aperture of the oil immersion condenser is 1.3–1.26; therefore, the condenser works with 20x and higher magnification objectives.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe condenser requires the mandatory use of immersion oil between the condenser lens and the slide when working with both dry observation objectives and immersion objectives. If there is no immersion oil on the condenser lens, light rays will not reach the sample.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe dark field condenser is installed in the microscope body, replacing the Abbe condenser.
