This removes the infrared part of the light. Depending on the application, this is desirable, but it can also be an obstacle. Since this IR cut filter is permanently installed in the camera's faceplate, it usually cannot be removed without destroying it; the faceplate we offer here does not contain an IR cut filter, but an \u003cb\u003eanti-reflective protective glass\u003c\/b\u003e.
