Objective for studies in transmitted and reflected polarized light. Strain-free objectives do not create birefringence and do not affect the study results.
The SFR80 objective has an 80x magnification and a resolution limit of 0.35 µm. It is combined with microscopes with an infinity-corrected optical system. The parfocal distance is 45 mm. No cover slip is required for its operation.
The objective's optics correct field curvature in over 90% of the observed area. The image is sharp both in the center and at the periphery. The wide field of view is suitable for use with a digital camera or a wide field of view eyepiece. A 10x/22 mm eyepiece will provide a 0.27 mm field of view. Spherical aberration is corrected for green, and chromatic aberration for red and blue.
With the SFR80 model, the lower limit of the microscope's useful magnification is 400x, and the upper limit is 800x. To obtain this useful magnification, it is recommended to combine the objective with eyepieces with 5x to 10x magnification. Eyepieces with magnifications lower than 5x will not be effective for the study; studies with eyepieces with magnifications higher than 10x will not provide additional information.
