Astronomical photography is achieved using two adapters. First, a specific adapter for the telescope or astronomical telescope, which provides a "universal" M42x0.75 male thread; and second, a specific adapter for the camera model (or T-ring), which has an M42x0.75 female thread. In the vast majority of cases, your focusing system already has the M42x0.75 male thread. This is the case with the Crayford Sky-Watcher.
On the other hand, the T-ring is not universal. Each ring is designed for a particular model or for a whole range of camera bodies. This model is designed for all Canon EOS bodies. It is compatible with all T2-mount optics (telescopes, astronomical telescopes, spotting scopes, etc.).
