NEW: Now includes a high-quality solar filter for the objective lens, which allows for safe observation of sunspots, eclipses, and planetary transits. A high-quality telescope for observing the Sun and night sky.
Ideal for beginners in astronomy: The 90mm aperture collects approximately 200 times more light than observing with the naked eye! Observe craters, valleys, and rilles on the Moon, almost 400,000 km away, as if they were right before you! The BRESSER MESSIER AR-90s with EXOS I mount offers highly detailed images, not just of the Moon: you'll be able to discover the distribution of Saturn's rings in great detail from millions of kilometers away, or Jupiter's "Great Red Spot," a massive storm in its atmosphere. Follow the seasons on Mars and observe the phases of Venus.
The AR-90s also performs magnificently as a compact travel instrument. Its shorter focal length of only 500mm allows for impressive wide-field observations of open star clusters and the Milky Way.
The MESSIER AR-90s collects much more light than the device used by Galileo Galilei almost four hundred years ago to make his famous discoveries. The permanently installed dew cap reduces possible dew formation and prevents stray light from entering from the sides, further increasing image contrast. The clamp of the AR-90s/500 includes a GP dovetail bar for attaching it to the mount.
