Universal Solar Filters (ULF) are cardboard filter kits for safe solar observation. They are based on the Thousand Oaks SolarLite filter . After assembly, the filters can be attached to the lens. They then dim the sunlight to the point that a safe view of the photosphere with its sunspots is possible.
ULF-70: Fits most common professional camera lenses, including those that accept a 77mm filter thread. Fits many common spotting scopes. 70mm opening, fits 65-80mm outer diameters. For smaller outside diameters, the tabs must be bent inward to hold the lens.
