Levenhuk 850B Biological Binocular Microscope

The Levenhuk 850B is a binocular biological microscope with planar achromatic optics for brightfield observations in transmitted light. It is used in various types of medical research centers in general medicine, urology, dermatology, biology, biochemistry, pathology, and cytology.

The microscope is equipped with a 360° rotatable binocular head with a 30° inclination angle and a rotating nosepiece with four objectives. The rotating nosepiece with objectives faces inwards: the user can see the objective inserted in the optical path, leaving space above the stage free. The interpupillary distance can be adjusted over a wide range. The kit includes 10x eyepieces with a 22 mm field of view, allowing observation of a wide area of ​​the specimen.

The microscope's focus is adjusted using coarse and fine focus knobs. The focus knobs move the stage in the vertical plane and also move it horizontally along two mutually perpendicular axes. The stage has no positioning rack. The lower position of the stage shift knob makes the instrument easier to use. The specimen holder is designed for two specimens. Thanks to the smooth, fluid focus adjustment and the stage movement mechanism, the specimen holder moves smoothly and effortlessly.

The use of an LED light source increases the microscope's resolution. The LED is mounted on the base, its brightness is adjustable, and it lasts a long time before needing replacement. The aperture and field diaphragms allow the use of the Köhler illumination method. The light source operates on an AC power supply (the kit includes a 220 V power cable).

Caution: Refer to the specifications table for the correct mains voltage, and never attempt to plug a 110V device into a 220V outlet or vice versa without using a converter. Remember that mains voltage is 110V in the United States and Canada, and 220–240V in most European countries.
