Use the Levenhuk 500B binocular microscope in a laboratory to study stained samples of plant and animal tissue. Thanks to halogen light, the full range of colors will be transmitted as accurately as possible, and the contrast of details will impress even the most demanding researchers. This microscope is an excellent choice for a biochemist, microbiologist, or veterinarian.

The microscope features widefield eyepieces with 10x magnification and achromatic objectives with 4x, 10x, 40x, and 100x magnification. The binocular head is conveniently inclined at 30° and rotatable. The optics allow specimens to be examined at magnifications from 40x to 1000x using either the brightfield or oil immersion technique. Two of the objectives feature a spring-retracted mechanism to protect the front lens: these are the 40x and 100x objectives. The 100x objective is used for oil immersion.

The microscope is equipped with a stage fitted with a mechanical micrometer that helps accurately position the sample under the objective lens. Beneath the stage is a height-adjustable Abbe condenser with an iris diaphragm. A light filter can be installed in the special filter holder. The powerful halogen illumination is equipped with a collector lens. Brightness is adjustable. The illumination is powered by an AC power supply.

All the microscope's optical elements are made of glass. The body is made of metal.
