Research microscope. Designed to observe transparent and translucent biological samples, such as smears and cross-sections, in transmitted light using a bright field. Additional accessories allow for darkfield, phase contrast, fluorescence, and polarization methods.
The coded nosepiece maintains a comfortable brightness level when changing objectives. Intelligent microscope illumination control increases the researcher's convenience and speed of work. Thanks to the "smart" functions, there's no need to worry about adjustments; the user's attention is fully focused on completing their tasks.
Microscope head
Trinocular head with infinity-corrected optics. The eyepiece tubes rotate 360°. The user can adjust the eyepiece accommodation distance according to their height. The digital camera is mounted in the trinocular tube. The beam split is 50/50.
The basic kit includes 10x/22mm eyepieces with diopter adjustment and long eye relief for working with glasses.
Revolving revolver and targets
The coded five-lens nosepiece is oriented inward: the user can see the lens inserted in the optical path, and the space above the stage is free. This free position can also be used to install an additional lens for increased magnification. The parfocal distance is 60 mm.
There is a slot on top of the revolver for installing the analyzer.
Maintaining comfortable brightness levels when changing magnification
Objectives with different magnifications transmit light at different intensities, so the light brightness must be adjusted every time you change objectives. Furthermore, brightness increases sharply when switching from a higher-magnification objective to a lower-magnification objective. A sudden increase in brightness causes eye fatigue. The MAGUS Bio 270T features intelligent brightness control. The optimal light brightness level is automatically switched for each objective, eliminating unexpected changes in brightness when changing magnifications. This feature optimizes your workflow and reduces eye fatigue.
Focusing mechanism
With a large number of objects under study, the operator constantly uses the fine focus knob for their work. To reduce wrist strain, the microscope uses a smooth-travel response mechanism. The fine focus knob has special finger grooves. Precise focus adjustment is effortless, and the right hand does not tire.
The coarse and fine focusing controls are coaxial and low-mounted. The researcher can place their hands on the table and assume a comfortable position in front of the microscope.
The coarse focus lock knob helps you quickly adjust the microscope after changing the object of study. The knob is located on the left side of the microscope, on the same axis as the focusing mechanism. The ring on the right side adjusts the coarse focus travel tension. The user can adjust the tension to a comfortable working position.
Platen
To improve the stage's ergonomics, it lacks an X-axis positioning frame. The belt-driven mechanism allows for smooth sample movement. The sample holder is secured with two screws and can be easily removed during manual scanning.
The long control handle of the stage ensures user comfort while working: the hand rests effortlessly on the table.
Condenser
The Abbe condenser is height-adjustable and centerable. Mounting type: dovetail.
The condenser ring adjusts the iris aperture. The condenser body has an aperture marking, and the ring has an index mark. To achieve the contrast for each lens, it is recommended to rotate the ring so that the index marker matches the aperture marking on the lens being used.
Lightning
The transmitted light illuminator contains a 3 W LED. The microscope illuminator has the function of adjusting the color temperature in the range of 3000 to 7000 K. The user selects a color temperature comfortable for the eyes and easily changes it with a button when, for example, a change of light is required when examining an object.
The LED has a lifespan of 50,000 hours.
Köhler illumination system with transmitted light
The light source is located at the base, at the rear of the microscope, and the light is directed onto the collecting lens by a mirror. Image contrast is regulated by the condenser's aperture diaphragm, and the area of the illuminated field is regulated by the collecting lens's field diaphragm.
Köhler illumination improves the image quality of the observed sample: each objective achieves its maximum resolution; the field of view is evenly illuminated, with no dark areas at the edges. The examined sample will be in sharp focus, and the image will be free of artifacts.
LCD status display
The LCD screen at the base of the microscope displays the objective magnification, brightness level and color temperature of the light source, as well as the operating mode ("sleep", "eco").
Using the display and the corresponding control, the microscope user adjusts the brightness, selects the color temperature, locks the brightness setting, and sets the sleep mode and auto-off timer.
Ergonomic design
Physical discomfort causes fatigue and reduces productivity. The ergonomic design of a microscope is an important factor in everyday scientific research.
The MAGUS Bio 270T provides user comfort while working. By rotating the microscope head, the user selects the height of the viewing point to minimize back and neck strain.
The focusing controls are located on the bottom of the instrument. This allows the user to maintain a relaxed hand position. Focusing is effortless thanks to its smooth mechanism.
The microscope is operated with minimal hand movement, as the stage and fine-focus controls are located on the same working area.
The microscope is equipped with a carrying handle.
The stowable design of the power adapter and power cord improves workplace aesthetics and transport safety, while simplifying storage.
Accessories
There is a range of accessories designed for this microscope.
You can use optional objectives to increase the magnification power of the microscope.
Eyepieces extend the magnification range of your microscope. These optional eyepieces help you get the most out of your most frequently used objective.
The phase contrast device, reflected light illuminator, darkfield condensers, and polarizing device extend contrast techniques and allow examination of invisible objects in brightfield.
Other accessories include a digital camera to send the image obtained by the microscope to a monitor and store files, and software to perform sample measurements in real time.
A calibration slide is used to measure objects, which can be combined with an eyepiece equipped with a measuring scale or with the camera software.
