After the success of the Star Adventurer Mini and its WiFi control , Sky-Watcher decided to implement this functionality in the famous Star Adventurer. The 2i version is therefore the combination of the classic version (even mechanical) with this remote control . Another advantage is that all customizable parameters (exposure time / interval / total number of photos / blur activation, etc.) can be stored in selectable preprograms on the mount.

The support can be controlled via WiFi through a free application available on smartphones (iOS/Android): the SAM Console. This application allows you to configure and control all the settings and functions of the support.

Currently, frames for nomadic photographers are in fashion . It is for this reason that Sky-Watcher decided to offer its own mount with many advantages over its competitors. The Star Adventurer is equipped with numerous accessories and a large load capacity (5 kg)... at an extremely attractive price.

It has both an equatorial base to adjust the latitude when mounting the station (SW0328), the Star Adventurer motorized right ascension mount, the L-type mounting plate (SW0329) for orientation in variation, the bar and counterweight (SW0330), the polar base illumination of the scope (SW0333) and an additional plate in the congress field (3/8''). Light and compact, it is the ideal mount for the nomadic astronomer with various equipment (camera alone or with telephoto lens, 70 mm apo refractor or Mak90).

The ideal and versatile travel box

Versatile, the Star Adventurer can be used for both long exposure astrophotography and daytime photography (to create time lapse, for example). The mount itself, like the equatorial base, can be adapted directly to any tripod (with a 3/8" or 1/4" thread using the adapter included as standard).

Using the L-shaped mounting plate, lift the optical tube and add the 1kg bar and counterweight. At the end of the plate, the fixing system allows the direction of the optical tube to be oriented efficiently and comfortably (allowing the declination to be adjusted). It is the AD motor (single axis motorization) that will drive everything. Different tracking speeds are available: sidereal, semisidereal speed, lunar and solar. For the time periods, several are already pre-programmed (12h/4h/2h per revolution).

To facilitate station setup, the polar viewer is directly integrated . Lighting comes standard, regardless of the configuration chosen. After proper setup, tracking will be of good quality thanks to a large 86mm diameter sprocket (compared to load capacity). For APO glasses wearers, an auto-guidance port is even provided to further improve training quality.

The equatorial base allows for precise latitude and azimuth adjustment. Attaches to any mount with a 3/8" male thread (or with the included adapter for 1/4" thread). It weighs 500 g and can support 5 kg (Star Adventurer mount + main instrument). A Vixen-type female dovetail accommodates the mount.
