Objective for brightfield observations.
The MAGUS Bio V360 microscope kit includes phase objectives. The inner lens of such an objective has an etched metal film ring, which is necessary for phase contrast observations. The metal film provides a quarter-wavelength phase shift relative to the rest of the light and reduces light transmission. Therefore, objectives without phase plates are recommended for these types of observations.

The resolution limit of the 10x/0.25 objective is 1.1 µm.
Chromatic aberrations are corrected for blue and red, spherical aberration for green, and field curvature is corrected for 90% of the field of view diameter.

The objective is specifically designed for an infinity-corrected tube length. The parfocal distance is 60 mm. When using a 10x/22 mm eyepiece, the field of view diameter is 2.2 mm. The objective is used for working with plates with a 1.2 mm thick bottom.

The lower limit of the microscope's useful magnification, when using a 10x objective, is 125x. Lower magnification does not allow distinguishing details of the specimen whose image is formed by the objective.

The upper limit of useful magnification, when using a 10x objective, is 250x. Higher magnifications are considered "empty" as they do not provide any new details in the specimen image.
When using a 10x/0.25 objective, use 12.5x–25x eyepieces to take advantage of the microscope's useful magnification and 10x eyepieces to explore the specimen and find the area of the specimen you wish to observe.

Plan achromatic objectives form an image that is in focus both in the center and at the edges, so distortion is negligible. This feature is used for digital imaging and combining with wide-field eyepieces with a 22 mm field of view.
