An objective lens for studying the structure of metals and alloys with 80x magnification. The accessory is designed for an infinity-corrected optical system. Its parfocal distance is 45mm.

Objects made of metals and alloys are often textured, and manipulating the objective at normal heights has the potential to damage the lens or the sample. The Plan objective lens is installed at a large working distance of 1.25mm from the sample. This makes it safe to use for both the objective itself and the object of study. No cover slip is required with this objective.

The optics of plan achromatic objective lenses eliminate chromatic aberrations for red and blue colors, and spherical aberration for green. Plan achromatic objectives form a wide working field of view, correcting its curvature up to 90%.

The 80x objective produces useful magnifications for the microscope ranging from 400x to 800x. Its maximum resolution is 0.33µm. For the best observation results, it is recommended to combine the objective with 5x to 10x eyepieces.
