MAGUS SF100 OIL 100x/1.25 Plan Pol ∞/0.17 Objective Infinity-corrected plan achromatic objective. Magnification: 100x. Aperture: 1.25
Objective for studying transparent and translucent samples with polarized light. Lenses for polarized optics are manufactured to avoid internal stresses: they do not create birefringence and do not affect observation results.
The objective is designed for an infinity-corrected optical system. The parfocal distance is the DIN standard (45 mm). A 0.17 mm cover slip is used for the sample.
The plan achromatic optics correct chromatic aberration in red and blue, and spherical aberration in green. Geometric aberration is corrected over more than 90% of the observed area. The image is in focus both in the center and at the edges, which makes the objective suitable for use with a digital camera or a wide-field eyepiece. Thus, in a system with a 10x/22 mm eyepiece, the objective will form a field of view of 0.22 mm in diameter. The resolution limit is 0.22 µm.
With the SF100 OIL objective, the useful magnification of the microscope is in the range of 625x to 1250x and is achieved by using eyepieces with a magnification of 5x to 15x. With lower system magnification, it will not be possible to see fine elements of an object; a magnification above 1250x will not provide new information.
