Zoom Magnum: an ultra-light eyepiece with many magnifications
If you don't want to get started in the world of astronomy having to carry a briefcase full of eyepieces with you, then this zoom eyepiece is the perfect solution for you and your telescope. The Magnum zoom offers you numerous magnification factors in one piece, so you don't have to decide between different eyepieces. So you can observe lunar craters, planets and deep sky objects without an arsenal of accessories.

Summary of advantages:

  • Eyepiece with 1.25" zoom and 8-24 mm focal length to select numerous magnifications continuously in a single eyepiece
  • The appropriate magnification factor for the celestial object is selected by a simple turn
  • Treated lenses for good contrast during observation
  • Visual field of 34-51º
  • Rotating blinder to protect from stray light
  • Large lens with 17-22mm eye relief suitable for people who wear glasses
  • 55mm diameter and 85mm height

Focal length of 8-24 mm: for comfortable observation sessions without excess equipment
With the Magnum zoom eyepiece you have a single eyepiece but many different magnification factors that you can adjust continuously with the variable focal length between 8 and 24 mm. You just have to look through the eyepiece, keep the object in the field of view, and increase the magnification factor slowly.

Why sometimes a zoom is better than a fixed focal length
No great experience is required: you just have to rotate the eyepiece while looking until you find the ideal magnification factor for the object you are observing. But wich ones? For beginners, this is usually a setting that needs to be explored through a lot of trial and error. However, in this case just turning one ring is enough. Although there is another reason: the light blue background, which must be dark to let the object stand out. Generally, the optimal magnification factor can only be achieved by making small changes. And with a zoom eyepiece the mission of finding the perfect balance between the background and the luminosity of the object is quickly solved. Tip: Also ideal for H-Alpha solar telescopes.

Lightness of only 85 grams
The Magnum is one of the lightest zoom eyepieces on the market, as it is largely made of aluminum. The great advantage of this is that it can be attached to even the smallest telescopes. The instrument will remain perfectly balanced. Or perhaps it would be the ideal accessory for your travel telescope?
