OAG-L Off-Axis Guide

He off-axis guide It offers a simple way to track your telescope for astronomical photography. There's no need to mount a guide scope; instead, you use a guide camera to track the stars reflected in the telescope's beam.

One advantage of this method is that the guide stars are within the field of view of the astronomical camera. This allows you to track stars that are close to the selected object.

This large off-axis guider comes with larger prisms. Its larger free aperture compared to other models provides a wider field of view for guiding. It is easy to use and suitable for users interested in long-distance photography. To fully benefit from this accessory, ZWO recommends pairing it with a full-frame camera.

The OAG-L is supplied with a M48 tilting adapter (tilt plate) . Used to precisely align the focal plane with the sensor.

Please note the following:

• For tracking, the OAG-L can only be used with ASI Mini cameras such as the ASI174MM Mini, ASI290MM Mini, and ASI120MM Mini.
• If the OAG-L is used without a filter wheel, you will need to use the ZWO Adapter D70-M54F to connect the off-axis guide to the camera and achieve a 55mm back focus.
• If your telescope has an M48 thread, you can connect the OAG-L using the M48 tilt adapter. Otherwise, you will need to remove it and use a different tilt adapter with the corresponding thread on your telescope.
