Omegon 0.5x Reducer - Focal length reduction This reducer allows you to halve the telescope's focal length to achieve a larger field of view. Expanding the field of view can be very useful when taking photographs with an astronomical webcam.
Screw and you're done Attaching this piece is very easy, as it has a 1.25" filter thread that makes it compatible with any eyepiece or photographic adapter of the same size.
Enlarges the webcam's field of view By attaching the Omegon reducer to the filter thread, the field of view is doubled, allowing you to capture a significantly larger area of the lunar surface in a single photograph. It's also ideal for recording videos of objects observed with a webcam. To achieve an even larger field of view, you can add an extension tube (e.g., 25 mm) between the reducer and the camera.
Advantages:
0.5x reducer for coupling to filter thread
To increase the webcam's field of view
Greater light output
Compatible with an eyepiece
Ideal for recording astronomical videos
Covers larger areas of objects
Technical information:
Connection: 1.25" filter thread on both sides (M 28.5 x 0.75)
Lens aperture: 22.5 mm
Lenses: 2 lenses for better correction - coated
Material: black anodized aluminum
Reduction factor: approximately 0.5x - depends on length
Focal length: 85 mm
Recommendations for use:
The reducer is useful with chips from 0.25 to 0.5 inches (Webcams, DMK, Watec) and for aperture ratios starting from f/8 (refractors, Maksutov and SC).
A rear focus is required. This provides an optical system with an aperture ratio of f/4 to f/6. The reduction effect can be varied using rings by changing the distance from the chip.
Not recommended for use with DSLR cameras and large CCDs as the chips do not fully illuminate.
