The Omegon AC 70/700 telescope opens the way to the world of stars. Its use is so easy that children and adults can handle it without problems.

You can assemble the telescope easily and quickly, without tools and according to the motto: position, insert the eyepiece, observe!

The AC 70/700 optical system:

With an aperture of 70mm, this refractor has a light potential 100 times greater than the human eye and therefore considerably outperforms classic beginner telescopes with an aperture just smaller than 60mm. It means that it has a higher resolution and, with its maximum magnification of 140 times, it already provides you with details of the large planets Saturn, Jupiter and Mars. The Moon is also a very interesting object: you can excellently observe the lunar surface with its craters which, depending on the phase, appear with different aspects. It is also possible to make interesting observations of nature during the day and with the support of an inversion lens or an Amici prism. The system focuses using an adjustment wheel located on the telescopic tube of the eyepiece that operates a toothed bar. This way you can precisely adjust the system and set it for observation.

The optical system is also ideal for use as a scope, combined with a large telescope to photograph or track objects.

The advantages at sight:

  • Easy assembly in just a few minutes
  • Gathers 36% light plus a 60mm telescope
  • Very clear representation and rich in contrasts
  • 1.25" telescopic tube for all standard eyepieces

We supply:

  • Omegon AC 70/700 tube with 70mm aperture and 700mm focal length
  • Binocular viewer
  • 20mm and 10mm eyepieces
  • 2x Barlos lenses (1.25)
  • 90° (1.25") overhead mirror
  • The AZ-2 mount:

It is a mount highly appreciated by astronomical beginners, as it stands out for its easy handling. The entire telescope can be moved without problems both altazimuthally and with respect to altitude. For the beginner, this has the advantage that he does not have to engage in complicated pre-adjustment of the telescope. You position your telescope very quickly and easily: Position tripod and mount, mount the telescope and go! You can fine-tune both axes, this way found terrestrial objects stay in the image. In the vertical axis you can move the tube by fine adjustment. The mount is mounted on a variable height aluminum tripod.

We supply:

  • AZ-2 altazimuthal mount
  • Robust aluminum tripod (variable height between 71cm and 121cm)
  • Slide
