With the Omegon 70/900 EQ-1 telescope you enter the fascination of astronomical observation. Observe the Moon, the stars and the planets and follow their trajectory in a simple way with night owls who have long dreamed of the experience of entering the secrets of the universe.

The AC 70/900 optical system:

With an aperture of 70 mm, this refractor collects already one hundred times more light than the human eye and therefore much more light than classic beginner telescopes with a small aperture of 60 mm. Therefore, it also has a higher resolution power, and with a maximum magnification of 140 it already presents you with details when observing the large planets Saturn, Jupiter and Mars. The moon is also a very interesting object: you can excellently observe the lunar craters which, depending on the lunar phases, present different visual aspects. Using an Amici inversion lens or prism it is even possible to make interesting observations of nature during the day. Focusing is carried out through a focusing wheel on the telescopic tube of the eyepiece, which is actuated by a toothed bar. This way you can accurately adjust the set sharpness safely during observation.

The advantages at sight:

  • assembly within a few minutes and without complications
  • Collects 36% more light than a 60mm telescope
  • very sharp and contrast-rich representation
  • 1.25" telescopic eyepiece tube, fits all standard eyepieces

The EQ-1 mount:

This equatorial mount already offers the possibility of exactly adjusting optical systems to the North Star. You can adjust the polar distance resp. latitude for each observation location. Through the fine movement of the right ascension and declination axes it is possible to sensitively adjust and track objects, a counterweight guarantees the correct balance of the optical system.

We supply the EQ-1 mount in two variants, with a floor tripod or table tripod; The details can be gleaned from the technical documentation. The tripod can be adjusted and positioned with a height of between 70cm and 120cm, and eyepieces or other accessories can be placed in the accessory holder. The table tripod is very compact and lightweight, therefore it is the ideal option for excursions or trips. The smallest EQ mount is extremely light and compact, fitting into almost any travel bag. Beginners can assemble it without problems, even children are able to use it. As an option we offer a tracking motor to mount on the right ascension axis.

We supply:

  • EQ-1 Equatorial Mount
  • Tripod
  • Adapted counterweight
