The Telescope

The BRESSER Messier AR102s is a high-quality telescope for both night and solar observation. Ambitious beginners and advanced users will already find the brightest objects outside the solar system with this device. Discover structures in the Orion Nebula at an incredible distance of 1,500 light-years (14,200,000,000,000 km). Exploring the boundary between light and darkness (terminator) on the Moon is a real pleasure. And with the high-quality solar filter for the objective, you can safely observe sunspots, eclipses, and planetary transits. (Warning: Never point the telescope at the Sun without the solar filter). You'll never want to part with the Messier AR-102S.

The Mount

The EXPLORE SCIENTIFIC EXOS-2 PMC-Eight GoTo Mount is equipped with a modern and very precise GoTo control system. It consists of a robust Wi-Fi control unit that provides all necessary interfaces. NEMA-11 stepper motors are directly connected to this unit via cable, and an ST-4 compatible autoguider interface is also available. In addition, the control system supports micro-stepping mode to ensure precise tracking.

Intuitive Operation via App and Graphical Star Chart
The ExploreStars app, specifically developed for the PMC-Eight system, impresses with a graphical and intuitive user interface. Currently available alignment stars for system initialization, as well as all celestial objects from the database, are displayed in the form of a star chart with additional information. All these objects can be easily visualized and selected.

Powerful Control Unit with Open GoTo for Customization
The heart of the control unit is a fully autonomous multi-channel processor with 8 CPUs and a 10/100 Ethernet Wi-Fi adapter with IP function. This allows for remote control via a browser, ASCOM, app, or serial connection. With Open GoTo, you can also write your own firmware and upload it to the control unit, allowing for custom adjustments of device functions and the creation of your own object lists.

Polar Finder Included
The pre-installed and included polar finder allows for quick and precise polar alignment and long exposure times without unwanted star trails. The integrated LED illumination unit further enhances the ease of use of the polar finder.
