N 114/900 EQ-1 Neo: Your introduction to the world of reflector telescopes with excellent optics
Do you want to travel to the stars? Even if it's only with your eyes: this telescope is the perfect start. The N 114/900 Newton telescope shows details that other telescopes easily overlook. In combination with the parallactic EQ-1 Neo mount, you can precisely track any celestial object. Discover more of the sky now.

Advantages at a glance:

  • Sharp images right to the edge: parabolic primary mirrors provide significantly higher image quality than a simple spherical mirror.
  • Further into space: with an aperture of 114 mm, you can also see nebulae that remain invisible with smaller telescopes.
  • No vibrations, no play: with the Crayford focuser you can adjust the image sharpness smoothly and precisely.
  • Easily adaptable: thanks to the Vixen-style prism rail and the universal finder shoe, the telescope fits many mounts and is compatible with numerous accessories.

The decisive difference: parabolic mirrors
Many beginner telescopes use simple spherical mirrors, which have a disadvantage: they cannot concentrate light to a single point. This leads to blurry images, especially at the edges of the field of view. The Omegon N 114/900, on the other hand, is equipped with high-quality primary mirrors. This is unusual in this price range! They have a special shape that concentrates the incident light exactly at one focal point. The result is impressive sharpness and high contrast across the entire field of view.

Everything you can discover
With a 114 mm aperture, this telescope collects 2.6 times more light than a 70 mm telescope. This opens the door to the world of deep-sky objects. What can you see with it?

  • Globular clusters: observe the famous Hercules cluster M13, a grouping of hundreds of thousands of stars that resolves into individual points of light at the edges.
  • Planetary nebulae: discover the Ring Nebula in the constellation Lyra, the remnants of a dying star, like a bright smoke ring in the sky.
  • Planets: observe Jupiter's cloud bands, the Great Red Spot and the four largest moons. Marvel at Saturn's majestic rings.

Focus like the pros: the Crayford focuser
Many beginner telescopes are equipped with simple rack-and-pinion focusers. These often wobble and make focusing a game of patience. But this telescope puts an end to that: it features a Crayford focuser. This equipment is hardly found in any other series of beginner telescopes, as it was originally intended for advanced amateur astronomers. A fusion of telescopes in a new type: Horizon! But what can this Crayford focuser do? Since it works with ball bearings, you can focus the object smoothly and without play, even at very high magnifications. Now you will find the perfect focus immediately and right from the start.

EQ-1 Neo: the lightweight parallactic mount for getting started in astronomy
A good mount is the basis for any successful sky observation. The Omegon EQ-1 Neo has been specially designed for beginners who value stability and precise tracking from the outset. Unlike alt-azimuth mounts, where you have to move the telescope on two axes at the same time, with this parallactic mount you can track stars with a single movement. This makes observing more relaxed, more satisfying and a real pleasure.

Advantages at a glance:

  • Easy tracking: track stars with just one rotary knob and effortlessly keep celestial objects in the eyepiece.
  • Stable: the robust stainless steel tripod ensures low-vibration support and a stable image.
  • Precise movement: thanks to the worm gear on both axes, you can easily keep celestial objects in the field of view.
  • Universal compatibility: thanks to the Vixen-style dovetail clamp, you can mount a wide variety of telescope tubes safely and quickly.
  • Lightweight and transportable: the mount is quickly disassembled and can be conveniently transported to your favorite observation spot.
  • Everything at hand: the practical accessory tray offers space for your eyepieces, filters and star charts.

The secret of the parallactic mount
Our Earth rotates, and that is precisely what makes star observation a challenge. Celestial objects move slowly but constantly across the sky. A parallactic mount like the EQ-1 Neo compensates for this rotation of the Earth in an ingeniously simple way. Once aligned with the polar star, you only have to turn your telescope around a single axis (the right ascension axis) to keep every object in the field of view. This is not only more comfortable, but also a prerequisite for astrophotography with longer exposure times.

Stability that pays off: the stainless steel tripod

What good is the best optics if the image moves with every touch? The EQ-1 Neo rests on a stable, height-adjustable stainless steel tripod. It offers significantly greater rigidity than the often unstable aluminum tripods of other beginner kits. The result is a more stable image and more relaxed observation. The rubber feet ensure a secure footing on any surface and can be removed for use on uneven terrain, revealing the spikes underneath.

Precision in detail: the worm gear

Another advantage of the EQ-1 Neo is its improved gearing. Instead of a simple limited adjustment range, an encapsulated worm gear system is used. This is not only protected against dust and moisture, but also allows for unlimited and precise fine movement on the declination axis. Together with the flexible shafts for manual fine adjustment, precisely centering an object in the eyepiece is child's play.

Omegon accessory box: What good is the best telescope without the right accessories?
With the Omegon accessory box, you get a coordinated set that makes your first steps as easy as possible. Instead of laboriously searching for individual eyepieces and adapters, here you will find everything you need for your first observations and even for your first moon photos. And all of this in superior quality. What do you need to get started? Something with which you can make impressive observations immediately. This includes two eyepieces for small and medium magnifications. Sometimes you want to be even closer to the action. That's what the included 2x Barlow lens is for. It is simply placed between the eyepiece and the telescope and doubles the magnification of the corresponding eyepiece. An LED finder is very important for quickly searching for and finding objects. A bright red dot in the dark shows you the exact way. You will soon realize that this inconspicuous component is just as important as your telescope. And with the extension tube, you can always reach the correct focal plane.

Your smartphone becomes an astrophotography camera
Perhaps the most exciting part of the accessory set is the smartphone adapter. With it, you can attach your own mobile phone directly to the eyepiece and take photos of what you are observing. Capture the cratered landscapes of the Moon or photograph Jupiter with its moons. The included Bluetooth shutter release ensures shake-free images. Share your fascination with the starry sky with your family and friends. It couldn't be easier.
