With the telescopes of the series StarSense Explorer , anyone can easily find the best observing objects in the sky - no need for star maps!

All you have to do is install the free StarSense Explorer app on your phone and place it on the special telescope holder.

After a short procedure, the software will have learned where the telescope is and how it is positioned. To do this, the application uses the GPS of the telephone. The app then displays a list of interesting objects that can be seen that night. When an object is selected, the arrows on the phone screen show how the telescope should be rotated to align it with the celestial object. Alternatively, you can also scroll freely through the planetarium view to identify objects of interest.

No internet connection required during observation or communicate with the telescope via WLAN or Bluetooth. The phone recognizes the view of the sky through the built-in camera and the mount's special mirror system. The app tells you what the camera sees and how to move the telescope to fixate on a desired object (PushTo).

The StarSense Explorer software uses a special algorithm (LISA), which is also used in space satellites for orientation. The star patterns recorded by the camera are compared to the internal database. These calculations are combined with information from the phone's gyroscope and accelerometer. The result is very high precision that no other planetarium application can match. This way you can move safely during the night even without prior knowledge.

StarSense Explorer technology also works precisely where star maps fail: in the Suburban sky with light pollution . Even here, the StarSense Explorer safely guides you to planets, double stars, the Orion Nebula or other fascinating objects.

StarSense Explorer can be used with Android and iOS operating systems . The exact requirements and a list of already tested phones can be found at this link: starsenseexplorer.simcur.com

The telescope can also be used without a telephone, as a finderscope is included in the scope of delivery.

The optic N 127/1000 It is a mirror telescope of the style designed by Isaac Newton (1643-1727). The mirror captures more than 300 times more light than the human eye and focuses on a point at the front end of the tube. A small secondary mirror bends the light to the side, away from the tube. That is precisely where the eyepiece is attached to observe celestial objects with complete comfort.

This telescope exploits its full potential with objects such as Moon or the planets : unlike what happens with telescopes with lenses of a similar price, these stars are seen no chromatic aberration and, therefore, without those annoying colored stripes on the contour.

Wander across the lunar surface, explore Jupiter with its banded atmosphere and massive moons, or enjoy a majestic view of Saturn's rings. The focal length of 1000 mm allows magnifications to be applied, which are never a bad thing.

With an aperture of 127 mm, you can also observe the brightest objects outside our Solar System, such as the Orion and Andromeda nebulae or the large globular cluster of Hercules, among others.

This azimuthal mount It allows you to move the telescope and align it towards the desired celestial object in a very intuitive way.
