The Omegon 130/920 EQ-2 is precisely the telescope you need to take your first astronomical steps. Thanks to its great luminous capacity, it is the ideal tool for excursions into the world of deep space objects . Whether Saturn with its ring system or the Ring Nebula with its fine haze - this telescope offers many more possibilities.

The 126/920 optical system

The 126mm aperture actually offers approximately 22% more luminous capacity than the smaller 114/900mm model. Compared to the human eye, the optical system concentrates 320 times more light. These characteristics show that this class of telescopes already offers many possibilities. Successful astronomical observation does not always depend on the magnification factor, but under favorable conditions a magnification of up to 250 times. The resolution power and magnification factor already offer you the possibility of observing some details of some planets . The tube is provided with a 1.25" eyepiece telescope which can be combined with all standard eyepieces . And when you make observations outside the Solar System, you will discover many astronomical objects such as star clusters, emission nebulae, and even galaxies.

Do you want to take photos? This optical system, in combination with a simple digital camera and an optional adapter, already offers you interesting photos of the moon.

The Omegon N130/920 Newtonian reflector telescope is easy adjustment. This is important, as a well-adjusted telescope delivers its full power. The main and secondary mirrors are equipped with adjustment screws.

The advantages at sight:

  • 126mm aperture optical system
  • LED viewfinder to easily find astronomical objects
  • Robust secondary mirror housing
  • 1.25'' telescopic eyepiece tube for all standard 1.25'' eyepieces and filters
  • Adjustment screws for main and secondary mirrors
  • Tube weight 3.4 Kg/ tube outer diameter 168mm

The EQ-2 mount :

This equatorial mount already offers the possibility of accurately adjusting optical systems to the North Star . You can adjust the polar distance resp. latitude for each observation location. Through the fine movement of the right ascension and declination axes it is possible to sensitively adjust and track objects, a counterweight guarantees the correct balance of the optical system. This mount guarantees safe and low-vibration accommodation even for small telexoscopes. The aluminum tripod can be adjusted and positioned with a height between 70cm and 120cm, and you can place eyepieces or other accessories in the accessory holder. The EQ mount, the second smallest, is extremely light and compact , fitting in almost all travel bags. Beginners can assemble it without problems, even children are able to use it. As an option we offer a tracking motor to mount on the right ascension axis.

We supply:

  • EQ-2 equatorial mount
  • Robust aluminum tripod (adjustable from 71cm to 121cm)
  • Accessory holder
  • Adapted counterweight
