The optical system

The Omegon apo refractor is an example of an excellent optical system, mature design and excellent mechanics. This exceptional telescope offers the user, astrophotographer, observer or nature lover, a unique vision of the firmament and nature. It guarantees both very clear stars to the limits of the visual field and outstanding precision mechanics.

The Dublet Apochromate

TrueColor lenses are included in the Omegon ED Dublet Apochromate lens. The objective with two lenses It consists of an ideal combination of crystals of OHARA FPL-53 and of S-NBM51 . These are crystals with a high and low refractive index respectively, as well as excellent transmittance. A very special feature is the use of S-NBM51 glass, generally used in apochromatic constructions of fluorescence microscopes. Your advantage: the optical system represents objects with Excellent contrasts and outstanding sharpness . The fine details you discover when observing planets are not represented, for example, by any Schmidt-Cassegrain type telescope.

The carbon tube

This apochromate is very suitable for visual observation although it was developed explicitly for astrophotography. Take advantage of the advantages of the carbon tube: extremely light and therefore also ideal for combination with small frames. The tube shows a very high self-stability and minimal thermal expansion . These advantages are of particular importance for astrophotographers: the tube maintains its stability, even all night. The protective cover against humidity is also made of carbon and easy to handle. It is also covered in black felt.

The eyepiece tube

The telescope is equipped with a type eyepiece tube Crayford . It belongs to a new generation of telescopic tubes to be patented. The essential advantages of this telescopic tube are the absolute precision and the enormous stability. It even supports accessories weighing up to 10kg, thanks to a fixing screw to be used additionally . Even when subjected to a large force, the telescopic tube does not move even a millimeter. After you have found focus, it does not change even if you change the position of the telescope with respect to the sky.

The reduction of 1 to 11 It has the function of a fine focusing tool and allows for even more precise adjustment of most telescopes. Are you already a fan of full-frame card astrophotography or do you want to be one in the future? Also when you use a full frame camera, you will get representations without vignetting . You can spin the entire telescopic tube of the eyepiece, you only have to loosen the fixing screw and you already have 360° freedom.

Transport case included

The supplied carrying case is the ideal place to store valuable optical instruments. Ultra-robust, with sleeves and metal armor , it resists many crashes without causing problems. Its interior is filled with sponge material in the exact shapes of the tube to store it safely.
