Evolution: The next step in portable telescopes!

  • Module Built-in WLAN : Instead of using the remote, you can also control the NexStar Evolution wirelessly with your iOS or Android phone or even your tablet. To do this, use the free Celestron app SkyPortal , which includes the planetarium view and SkyAlign. Of course, you can also operate the telescopes in the traditional way with the NexStar remote control.
  • Lithium-ion (LiFePO4) battery : Forget about tangled cables or carrying an expensive power bank! The built-in (but replaceable) battery lasts all night ( ten hours ) and even allows you to charge your phone via USB. a USB port . The built-in battery can be recharged with the network adapter included .
  • Even more ergonomics: the innovative product design introduced by Celestron with the CPC telescopes is now also found in the NexStar. In addition to its power , includes many "little things" that make observation more pleasant: a Very stable tripod , with an accessory tray that does not have to be removed to fold it completely and legs with notches so they can be extended to the same distance; clamping screws with fins facing inwards so they do not get caught in the dark; a mount with a support table for the eyepiece and with a rubber pad ; a very discreet red light to find your accessories safely, and a Carrying handle on fork arm and some handles around the foot of the fork for very easy and pleasant handling.

Celestron Schmidt-Cassegrain Optics:

Despite the long focal length of Schmidt-Cassegrain optics, these telescopes have a very short design tube , resulting in a compact and extremely light or, that can be easily transported . The light hits an aspherical Schmidt corrector plate and is then projected onto the spherical main mirror. This reflects it onto a secondary mirror, which in turn returns it to the main mirror. The light beam passes through the hole in the center of the main mirror. In this way, the light is projected towards the focuser located at the lower end of the tube. Thus the system is closed and is free from air turbulence, which could damage the image. Of course, this also means optimum protection against dust. The Schmidt plate is multi-coated, which guarantees brilliant, low-reflection images.

This optic offers a Very good image and the contrast and sharpness are great for planetary observation. The Schmidt-Cassegrain system is an all-rounder for observation and photography , and includes a huge range of optional accessories. As seen from the bottom end of the tube It is easy to orient the telescope . This instrument is also ideal for occasional terrestrial applications, such as bird watching at short distances. Celestron SC optics are designed for a diameter ratio of approximately 1:10, so they can also be used for astronomical photography .

He main mirror focus ensures a very wide focusing range, allowing the use of almost any accessory. Two gears are used in the positioning mechanism for focusing the main mirror. preloaded ball bearings to minimize mirror shifting (a typical problem when using simple bushings). The use of High-quality materials such as CNC machined aluminum, cast steel and stainless steel components ensure high stability at low weight, which is why there is no need for a very heavy mount, unlike other telescope designs.

Optical features:

  • long focal length with a short structure
  • lightweight aluminum tube
  • Starbright XLT high quality multi-coating
  • closed system
  • Preloaded ball bearings focus the main mirror with minimal shift.
