All about the Sky-Watcher 130/900 telescope

With a 130mm primary mirror, the Sky-Watcher Newton 130 captures 30% more light than a 114 telescope mm . Under a very dark sky it is possible to see more details than with a smaller instrument. It promises beginners who want to invest in a telescope that is both bright, without being expensive, many nights of observations rich in discovery. In planetary observation, it will reveal many details of Jupiter, Saturn and the Moon using a Barlow or a short focal length eyepiece.

Its Newton design offers several advantages over other families of instruments (telescopes and Cassegrain telescopes). Firstly, mirrors are cheaper to manufacture (spherical mirror) for equal diameter and their focal ratio is generally smaller. The central obstruction is also weaker than Cassegrain-type telescopes, If the collimation (mirror adjustment) is well respected, the image quality is good in the planetarium .

The EQ2 mount allows precise positioning in the sky thanks to the flexible movement of the axes . The fixing rings allow the tube to be adapted to the frame. The equatorial design allows after fixation (simple adjustment of the orientation of the mount towards the North Star) to compensate for rotation. You can even add a motor as an option for added convenience.

The Pack includes:

  • 1 Newton Sky-Watcher 130/900 telescope
