NEW - now includes a high-quality solar filter for the objective lens for safe observation of sunspots, eclipses, and planetary transits. A high-quality telescope for night and solar observation.

The telescope consists of a refractor telescope and an equatorial mount including a tripod. The optics have an aperture of 152 mm with a focal length of 760 mm and therefore a focal ratio of F5. The refractor features many additional characteristics, such as tube rings with a carrying handle and integrated camera holder, a 31.7 mm (1.25") star diagonal, or an 8x50 finder scope. With the equatorial (also called parallactic) mount EXOS-2, one axis is aligned with the polar star. When tracking a celestial object, only one axis needs to be moved, which makes tracking much easier compared to mounts that only have left/right and up/down axes (altazimuth mount). With the included 8x50 finder scope, celestial objects are easily located. The finder scope also has a reticle for more comfortable observation in the dark. The mount also features a polar finder scope, which greatly simplifies alignment to the north. With two flexible shafts connected to the fine mechanical drive, objects can be precisely adjusted and tracked in the eyepiece. The stainless steel tripod is height-adjustable, ensuring a comfortable observing position.

Scope of application: The BRESSER Messier AR-152 on EXOS-2 offers the ambitious amateur astronomer good optics with a stable universal mount. The telescope's 152 mm aperture and short focal length are perfect for large objects like open clusters and extensive nebulae. For detailed observations of the Moon and the planets of our solar system, it is recommended to acquire additional eyepieces and/or a Barlow lens to increase the focal length. With a total weight of approximately 31 kilograms, composed of the three parts (tube, mount with counterweights, tripod), the telescope is still suitable for observations outside bright cities. Only then can the optics perform at their best.

Special features: Bresser EXOS-2 Mount Equatorial (parallactic) mount with a load capacity of up to 13 kilograms (depending on the length of the telescope) and polar finder scope. Bearings on both axes ensure smooth and precise movement. For easier tracking and navigation during observation, an optional GoTo motor kit can be used.
