The mono cameraZWO ASI 585MMIt offers a large sensor with high sensitivity, resolution, and frame rate. This makes itIdeal for planetary photography , as well as for images of the sun and moon, and even for capturing deep sky objects.
The camera is equipped with amodern Sony IMX585 sensorand stands out for itshigh resolution(2.9 µm Pixel), its high frame rate and theabsencetotalamplifier brightness(Amp Glow). This makes this camera very interesting not only for planets, the sun, and the moon, but also for long exposures (deep-sky photography). The sensor is large enough for many deep-sky objects, even without the need for an additional corrector.
The main areas of application ofThe ASI 585MM offers high-resolution lunar and planetary photography , high-resolution solar photography (with the appropriate filter!), long exposures of nebulae and galaxies without the energy-intensive cooling process, infrared imaging to reduce the effects of seeing (providing a sharper luminance channel), autoguiding capabilities (with an autoguiding connection), and EAA (electronically assisted astronomy) for planets, the Moon, and the Sun. Thanks to its fineWith 2.9 µm pixels , avery high resolutionStarting with an aperture ratio of f/10 ( Maksutov-Cassegrain telescopes !), the use of Barlow lenses becomes unnecessary. Although this camera is not cooled (the sensor heats up during shooting), theintegrated PCSIt dissipates the sensor's heat to the outside via a thermal pad. This reduces the sensor's temperature by up to 15 degrees Celsius compared to cameras without PCS.
