The resolution limit of the 60x/0.80 objective is 0.35 µm.

Chromatic aberrations are corrected for blue and red light, spherical aberration for green light, and field curvature for 90% of the field of view diameter.

The objective is infinity-corrected. The parfocal distance is 45 mm. When observing with a 10/22 mm eyepiece, the field of view diameter will be 0.36 mm. The objective is designed to work with samples covered by a 0.17 mm thick cover slip.

The lower limit of useful microscope magnification when observing with a 60x objective is 425x. Any magnification lower than that will not allow you to see the details of the object in the image obtained by the objective.

The upper limit of useful magnification when observing with a 60x objective is 850x. Any magnification greater than that is considered useless as it provides no new sample details. We recommend using eyepieces with a magnification of 7x to 14x with the 60x/0.80 objective.

Plan achromatic objectives produce an image that is uniformly focused both in the center and at the edges, and with minimal distortion. This feature is used for digital imaging and for pairing the objective with wide-field eyepieces and a 22 mm field of view.

The objective is suitable for studying details of a sample's structure of 0.5 µm or larger within a 0.36 mm field of view, for example, for spermograms.
