With the Omegon 70/900 EQ-1 telescope, you'll be entering the fascination of astronomical observation. Observe the Moon, stars, and planets and follow their paths easily with the help of night owls who have long dreamed of delving into the secrets of the universe.

The AC 70/900 optical system:

With a 70 mm aperture, this refractor collects one hundred times more light than the human eye and, consequently, much more light than traditional beginner telescopes with a narrower 60 mm aperture. It therefore also has a higher resolving power, and with a maximum magnification of 140, it already presents details when observing the large planets Saturn, Jupiter, and Mars. The moon is also a very interesting object: you can excellently observe lunar craters, which, depending on the moon phase, present different visual appearances. Using a reversing lens or an Amici prism, interesting nature observations are even possible during the day. Focusing is achieved via a focusing wheel on the telescope eyepiece tube, which is actuated by a toothed bar. This allows you to accurately set the sharpness level securely during observation.

The advantages at a glance:

  • Assembly within a few minutes and without complications
  • collects 36% more light than a 60mm telescope
  • very sharp and contrast-rich representation
  • 1.25" telescopic eyepiece tube, for all standard eyepieces

The EQ-1 mount:

This equatorial mount now offers the ability to precisely adjust optical systems to the North Star. The polar distance and latitude can be adjusted for each observing location. By finely adjusting the right ascension and declination axes, objects can be precisely adjusted and tracked; a counterweight ensures the correct balance of the optical system.

We supply the EQ-1 mount in two versions: with a floor tripod or a table tripod; details can be found in the technical documentation. The tripod can usually be adjusted and positioned between 70 cm and 120 cm in height, and the accessory holder can hold eyepieces or other accessories. The table tripod is very compact and lightweight, making it the ideal choice for hiking or traveling. The smaller EQ mount is extremely light and compact, fitting into almost any travel bag. Beginners can set it up without any problem; even children are capable of using it. As an option, we offer a tracking motor for mounting on the right ascension axis.

We supply:

  • EQ-1 equatorial mount
  • Tripod
  • Adapted counterweight
