N 114/500: wide-angle telescope for exploring the sky
This telescope is a master of wide fields of view. Its short focal length offers stunning "rich field" views of vast star clusters, nebulae, and the Milky Way. Thanks to its high-quality parabolic mirrors, you will enjoy sharpness that is second to none in its class. A telescope for anyone who prefers to enjoy the sky on a grand scale.

Advantages at a glance:

  • Parabolic primary mirrors: sharp stars all the way to the edge of the field of view
  • Wide field of view: the short 500 mm focal length makes the telescope an expert for observing large and expansive celestial objects.
  • Bright and compact: despite its 114 mm aperture, the tube is very short, lightweight, and easy to carry.
  • Smooth-as-butter focusing: the Crayford focuser ensures precise, vibration-free focusing on the objects you observe.
  • Quick to set up: the telescope mounts and adjusts quickly, so you can spend more time observing and less on preparation.

The sky in panoramic format: the Rich Field experience
What does "rich field" mean? It means you can see a huge section of the sky at once. Telescopes with a long focal length work like a telephoto lens: they magnify a lot. The Omegon N 114/500, on the other hand, is like a wide-angle lens. With it, you can travel through the star fields of the Milky Way and admire open star clusters like the Pleiades in all their splendor. Tip: However, the field of view also depends heavily on the eyepiece. Therefore, if you need high magnification, you will get it with a short focal length eyepiece.

Quality you can see: the parabolic mirrors
We make no compromises on quality in this wide-angle specialist either. The heart of the telescope is a precision-made parabolic primary mirror. Unlike the simple spherical mirrors of many other beginner telescopes, this reflects light accurately to a single point. The result is sharp stars across the entire huge field of view. You will notice the difference immediately: stars are fine, defined points.

Precise focusing: the Crayford focuser
The telescope features a modern Crayford focuser. It helps you perfectly adjust the sharpness of the high-quality mirrors. Thanks to the ball bearings, it moves smoothly and without vibration. This makes focusing easy and pleasant: a great advantage, for example, when photographing the moon. In addition, all 1.25" eyepieces are compatible, whether from this manufacturer or another.

EQ Neo: the lightweight parallactic mount ideal for getting started in astronomy
A good mount is the foundation for any satisfactory astronomical observation. The Omegon EQ Neo has been designed especially for beginners who, from the start, value stability and precise tracking. Unlike alt-azimuth mounts, where you have to move the telescope on two axes at once, with this parallactic mount you can follow the stars with a single movement. This makes observing more relaxed, satisfying, and a true pleasure.

Advantages at a glance:

  • Simple tracking: follow the stars with a single rotary knob and keep celestial objects in the eyepieces effortlessly.
  • Stability: the sturdy stainless steel tripod guarantees secure mounting with minimal vibration and a sharp image.
  • Precision movement: thanks to the helical gears on both axes, you can easily keep celestial objects in the field of view.
  • Universal compatibility: thanks to the Vixen-style prism clamp, you can securely and quickly mount a wide variety of telescope tubes.
  • Lightweight and easy to carry: the mount quickly disassembles and can be conveniently carried to your favorite observation spot.
  • Everything at hand: the practical accessory tray offers space for your eyepieces, filters, and star charts.

The secret of the parallactic mount
Our Earth rotates, and that is precisely what makes observing the stars quite a challenge. Celestial objects move slowly but steadily across the sky. A parallactic mount like the EQ Neo compensates for this Earth rotation in an ingeniously simple way. Once aligned with the North Star, you will only need to rotate your telescope around a single axis (the right ascension axis) to keep any object in the field of view. This is not only more convenient, but also an essential requirement for astrophotography with longer exposure times.

Stability that pays off: the stainless steel tripod

What good is the best optics if the image moves with every touch? The EQ Neo rests on a stable, height-adjustable tripod made of stainless steel. It offers noticeably superior rigidity compared to the often unstable aluminum tripods that usually come with other beginner kits. The result is a sharper image and a more relaxed observation. The rubber feet guarantee a secure grip on any surface and can be removed for use on uneven terrain, so that the spikes underneath can be used.

Precision in the details: the helical gear

Another advantage of the EQ Neo is its improved gearing. Instead of a simple limited adjustment range, an enclosed helical gear system is used. Not only is it protected against dust and moisture, but it also allows for unlimited and precise fine movement on the declination axis. Together with the flexible axes for manual fine adjustment, centering an object exactly in the eyepieces becomes child's play.

Omegon accessory box: What good is the best telescope without the right accessories?
With the Omegon accessory box, you will get a coordinated set of equipment that will make your first steps as easy as possible. Instead of having to laboriously search for individual eyepieces and adapters, here you will find everything you need for your first observations and even your first photos of the Moon. And all of it with quality superior to standard. What do you need to get started? Something with which you can make impressive observations immediately. This includes two eyepieces for low and medium magnifications. Sometimes you want to be even closer to the action. That is what the included 2x Barlow lens is for. Simply place it between the eyepiece and the telescope, and it doubles the magnification of the corresponding eyepiece. An LED finder is very important for quickly searching for and finding objects. A bright red dot in the dark shows you exactly the way. Soon you will realize that this discreet component is as important as your telescope. And with the extension tube, you can always reach the correct focal plane.

Your smartphone becomes an astronomical camera
Perhaps the most exciting part of the accessory set is the smartphone adapter. With it, you can attach your own mobile phone directly to the eyepiece and take photos of what you are observing. Capture the cratered landscapes of the Moon or photograph Jupiter with its moons. The included Bluetooth shutter control guarantees vibration-free images. Share your fascination with the starry sky with your family and friends. Easier, impossible.
