The telescope for beginners ready to observe the stars with their own eyes

Fans of the Universe are always willing to look beyond, at the stars, planets, or nebulae that showcase the grandeur of the cosmos. Now all these celestial bodies will be within their reach, even without advanced knowledge of astronomy. This beginner telescope is very easy to use and so bright that it will allow you to observe even nebulae many light-years away. Start your journey through the Universe from your balcony or backyard.

A summary of the benefits:

  • Experience sharp and clear objects with the parabolic primary mirror.
  • Connect additional accessories at any time, even from other manufacturers, with a 2” Crayford focuser (patented) for 1.25” and 2” eyepieces.
  • Accurately track celestial objects with the equatorial mount.
  • Enjoy worry-free sky observation with a complete telescope with two eyepieces.
  • Find objects more easily and effortlessly with an illuminated LED finderscope.
  • Immediately recognize stars, planets, and nebulae, even if you have no experience.

Enhance your view of the sky
Surely on the clearest summer nights you sometimes look up at the stars. But did you know that hundreds of objects are hidden among them that you can explore? The parabolic mirror collects so much light that you will be able to see even the faintest objects through the eyepiece.

What can be seen in the sky?

  • The Moon: thousands of craters, ridges, and elevations that you will never tire of exploring.
  • Planets: Mercury, Jupiter, or Saturn. The planets of the Solar System are like the next-door neighbors, astronomically speaking, and boast an overwhelming wealth of details, such as Saturn's rings.
  • Globular star clusters: the oldest objects in our galaxy appear as nebulous spheres where the outline is the only defined feature. They can contain up to a million stars.
  • Open star clusters: they shine like diamonds on the dark carpet of the night sky.
  • Nebulae: planetary and hydrogen, which are brighter.

A target in the eyepieces: but without having to search for it or have it move
Contemplating the starry sky is wonderful. But exploring it yourself is even better. The Omegon mount conveniently directs your telescope toward the desired celestial object, either through an app or manual control. This way, you can immediately start exploring the starry sky, from Saturn to distant nebulae. You can fully trust your mount. It incorporates GoTo control, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a gear-driven transmission system, and a stable steel tripod. What's behind all this?

Advantages at a glance

  • GoTo control: select your target and the mount will automatically move to it.
  • Observation and photography: a stable base for relaxed observation nights and to get started in astrophotography.
  • Control to your liking: use the manual control or conveniently control the mount through an app.
  • Compatible with your setup: compatible with ASIAIR, SkySafari, N.I.N.A., PHD, and many other astronomy applications.
  • Gear-driven reduction for photography: silent operation for precise tracking and longer exposures.
  • Stable base: the 40 mm steel tripod guarantees a secure base, even on uneven surfaces.
  • 8 kg load capacity: ideal for small and medium telescopes, as well as for your first photography setups.

A stable base for any observation
The best telescope is only as good as the mount that holds it. It is the foundation of your entire setup. Your equipment's actual stability depends on it. The mount supports up to 8 kilograms, making it ideal for small and medium telescopes. Whether you are observing the Moon, tracking the movement of planets, or taking your first images of the deep sky. Today you look through the eyepieces. Tomorrow you will take your first steps in astrophotography.

Toward objects, but without long searches
Finding a celestial object takes time. Especially if you do not have much experience. Added to this is that many objects are faint or are not located near brighter stars. But with the GoTo control system, this mount saves you a lot of work. You just have to select the object you want using the manual control or the app, and the mount will automatically move to the target. This way you will search less and perform more observations.

The astronomer style: simple or high-tech
Tonight you only want to observe the Moon. Other nights, deep-sky objects attract you: perhaps the Orion nebula or galaxies. And then there is, of course, astrophotography. The mount makes both things possible: relaxed observation nights and getting started in astrophotography. Thanks to the gear-driven transmission, it guarantees precise tracking. In addition, the mount can be controlled not only using the manual control, but also through Wi-Fi or Bluetooth with programs such as ASIAIR, SkySafari, N.I.N.A., or PHD. You freely decide how to work and the mount adapts to your needs.

One decision, but many years of enjoyment
Ask ten experienced amateur astronomers what you should not skimp on. Nine of them would answer: the mount. This is because it determines whether the telescope is tracked stably and whether objects do not move from one side to the other in the eyepieces at the slightest breeze. The EQ370DX is suitable for small and medium telescopes and offers you a convenient introduction to computer-assisted sky observation and astrophotography. You buy it once and you can observe with it for a long time.
