The compact 80mm F/7 Ultra-Low Dispersion ED Refractor from Teleskop-Service is a robust and highly transportable "all-around telescope" for observation and astrophotography. The well-corrected optics provide an almost aberration-free image, due to the moderate f-ratio and integrated ED glass. Use this APO refractor for astrophotography or for impressive observations. The good optics, the "photo-friendly" 2" focuser and the solid construction guarantee joy and success, as well as fantastic experiences under the night sky.

The Doublet ED lens:

The hand-made lens is mounted in a temperature compensated cell. It consists of two lenses, one of them being an ED element for good correction of chromatic aberration. We use the best possible multi-coating from the manufacturer on each glass air surface for optimal contrast.

The precise focuser and light-sensitive optics make the 80mm ED refractor a good telescope for astrophotography. To correct the image field, we recommend the following correctors, they are also linked in the accessories section.

TSRED80 - focal length reduction and image field correction
This corrector is designed for the 80mm f/7 ED and shortens the focal length to 448mm. Speed ​​increases to f/5.6. With a 55mm backfocus from the T2 thread, you can connect all common DSLR cameras and also CCD cameras. We recommend the TSRED80 for DSLR cameras with APS-C sensors and for CCD cameras with sensors up to 30mm in diameter.

WiflatM48 - 2" field correction without focal length change... Exceptional illumination, suitable for larger sensors, a field of approximately 40 mm diameter is illuminated at 100%. The back focus of the M48 corrector is 55 mm .
