The PHOTON Newtonian reflector with 203mm aperture and f/4 focal ratio is a fast astrograph for astrophotography and an impressive rich-field telescope.
Aperture 203 mm / focal length 800 mm / focal ratio F4
High quality parabolic primary mirror with 94% reflectivity for a brighter image.
Large secondary mirror with 70 mm diameter for a well-illuminated image field; Also suitable for cameras with full size sensors.
Precise 2" MONORAIL focuser, 1:10 double speed for precise focusing; motorized focus is optionally available.
Adjustable primary and secondary mirror cells made of metal, useful collimation aid on the primary mirror.
Focus position ready for observing with all eyepieces and for astrophotography
Extensive scope of delivery: 8x50 scope, tube rings, 2" extension tube for sighting, dovetail bar.
Ready to photograph and observe faster through the primary mirror fan.
The dovetail bar supplied is the red one in the penultimate image, not the black one in the image in the scope of delivery.
Astrophotography is made easy for you with this compact TS-PHOTON series Newtonian. Due to the aperture ratio of f/4, this astrograph provides pure speed and therefore short exposure times. Of course, we also offer the matching TS SUPERFLAT coma corrector. Thus, this Newtonian PHOTON becomes a very good astrograph.
Immerse yourself in the world of deep sky observing with the PHOTON 8" f/4. The large aperture and improved 94% reflectivity offer unforgettable observations beyond the solar system. Observe exciting details, such as galaxy spiral arms or fine structures in planetary nebulae.
The Newtonian is still compatible with wearable mounts like the Celestron Advanced VX GoTo mount or the Skywatcher EQ5 mount. Purely visual observers can also use an altazimuth mount. You can find the appropriate mounts in the "Recommended Accessories" section.
General information and characteristics of TS-PHOTON Newtonian telescopes:
Fast parabolic optics with excellent contrast and very good sharpness for planetary observations.
High quality 2" monorail focuser with 1:10 dual speed for 2" and 1.25" accessories.
Perfect focus position for DSLR and other cameras.
All popular 1.25" and 2" eyepieces can be used without problems.
Brighter image through improved 94% reflectivity of the primary and secondary mirror.
The motorized focus can be adapted at any time.
A 0.5mm thick stainless steel spider provides stability. Astrophotographers will envy you for the delicate, sharp peaks around bright stars.
The ventilation activates because the primary mirror provides significantly faster cooling.
Adjustable primary mirror cell and secondary cell completely made of metal.
