Autonomous guidance system: Finding a suitable guide star will no longer be a problem! Thanks to the high sensitivity of modern CMOS sensors, even faint stars can be used. Short exposure times and a high guiding frequency compensate for your mount's tracking errors, both large and small. Native camera compatibility with PHD2 and the ST4 port is a major advantage for autonomous guiding!
A functional form: The robust anodized aluminum housing is shaped like a 31.7 mm eyepiece and is compatible with any telescope. Its lightweight construction means your equipment won't be weighed down. The camera has a C and CS mount and, with an adapter, a standard 3.17 mm filter thread. Small CCTV lenses, as well as a wide selection of astronomical filters, can therefore be easily connected.
Deep sky astronomical photography: The high sensitivity of this modern CMOS sensor makes photographing nebulae and galaxies much easier than it was a few years ago. These faint objects are difficult to capture, but thanks to the sensor's high quantum efficiency and low read noise, details are revealed that cannot be seen with purely visual astronomy.
Planetary Photography for Beginners: This camera is a great way to get started in the fascinating world of astronomical photography of the Solar System. You can share your photos of Jupiter, Saturn, or the craters of the Moon with family and friends, or experience astronomical observations with them live on the screen.
Transmission: A filter protects the camera sensor from dust and moisture. Omegon Pro color cameras are equipped with a filter that blocks infrared light. CMOS sensors also measure incident infrared light, making correct color reproduction impossible in the final image. In contrast, Omegon Pro mono cameras have an anti-reflective window, which lets through ultraviolet and infrared light in addition to visible light. Additional filters give you full control over the transmission curve, a fundamental requirement for advanced photographic or photometric applications.
Handy capture software: With the included Omegon AstroPhotoCapture software, you can learn how to control the camera quickly and easily. Correct camera settings are crucial in astrophotography. AstroPhotoCapture gives you complete control over all essential parameters without having to navigate a cluttered interface. Simple tutorials explain the capture process step by step to successfully complete your first night of astrophotography. The software is compatible with Windows 8 and 10.
Compatibility: Omegon Pro cameras are compatible with a wide range of capture software via the common ASCOM and INDI interfaces. They also feature native support for a growing number of PHD2 and NINA software.
