Crayford eyepiece holder - Extremely flat for perfect focus
With the Omegon two-inch Newton eyepiece holder you will have the perfect focus in your own hands. Its flat design avoids possible focusing problems.

Turn the focus wheel and you will discover how smoothly the inner tube of the eyepiece moves. The exterior design of the eyepiece holder is elegant thanks to its black anodization. However, a matte black coating on the inside and the ribbed surface prevent any unwanted reflections.

Its incredibly flat design of just 50mm allows the user to enjoy great focus on every subject with improved illumination. Additionally, if you had to separate the eyepiece or camera slightly, simply giving the extension tube the desired length would be enough.

An improved Crayford eyepiece holder
Crayford's new improved design is called "Bearing Type". Crayford eyepieces already offered backlash-free focusing. The secret of the Omegon models is a rack and pinion that keeps the inner tube in place. The tube does not move as easily as it does on other Crayfords.

1:11 reduction for precise focusing
An additional planetary motor provides a 1:11 scale reduction to Omegon's Bearing Types. Thanks to it, it is very easy to focus on astronomical objects, since with an alteration of just 1/10 mm it is very easy to find the exact focus point.

Large load capacity of up to 8 kg
How are an SLR camera, a large CCD, an OAG and large 2" eyepieces similar? In that they are not exactly light. Especially if they are used simultaneously. Omegon eyepiece holders have a high load capacity and support accessories up to 8 kg in weight.

Fixation by astrophotography
They have a screw that keeps the focus fixed for taking photographs. Prevents focus parameters from being adjusted by mistake because it blocks the photographic equipment. Also in this it surpasses traditional Crayford eyepiece holders, as it blocks the photographic equipment but does not fix the inner tube of the telescope, so the eyepiece holder always remains centered and does not put pressure on the tube.

The base of the focuser does not have a fixed size. Thanks to this, it is compatible with numerous Newtonian models. Compatible with telescopes from 200 mm aperture.
