Microscope filters are used for visual observations and digital camera captures. The MAGUS LF5 set includes blue, green, and yellow color filters, a frosted filter, and a daylight filter.

Blue, green, and yellow color filters help to improve the color balance of the image, increase contrast and brightness, and smooth out optical distortions. Depending on the color, the filter blocks a specific wavelength of light and allows other wavelengths to pass through.

The frosted color filter is used to obtain diffuse illumination.

The daylight color filter is necessary for color correction when using a microscope with a halogen light source. The light from a halogen lamp is "warm," so the color filter shifts the spectrum from the yellow range to the daylight range, which is more comfortable for the eyes.

The filters in the MAGUS LF5 set are designed for reflected light observations.
