Astrophotography Telescope Kit 90/1000 EQ-2

When viewed at a high magnification factor, the target quickly disappears from the field of view. This is due to the rotation of the Earth, which we must compensate for. Equatorial mounts make this job easier for us, or even completely automate it, something that is essential for the practice of astrophotography. To do this you must have a tracking motor and align yourself with the North Star. Afterwards you can take nice photos of the Moon with your phone or SLR camera.

This set is designed for:

• observe and photograph the Moon and the planets;
• who is willing to spend about 10 or 15 minutes setting up and aligning the telescope;
• take simple photos of the Moon and large planets with the smartphone and a motorized tracking system;
• see the sharp, pinpoint stars without the peaks caused by the secondary mirror, although with fine stripes of color on the edges.

The Omegon 90/1000 mm Telescope

The 90/1000mm refractor offers many applications, you can also take your first steps in the field of astrophotography. Connect your camera to the telescope (via an adapter that we offer as an option) or use the adapter supplied with this Kit to take photos with your smartphone. The lunar surface offers a wide variety of possibilities to take your first photos.

The EQ-2 mount:

This equatorial mount already offers the possibility of accurately adjusting optical systems to the North Star . You can adjust the polar distance versus latitude for each observation location. Through the fine movement of the right ascension and declination axes it is possible to sensitively adjust and track objects, a counterweight guarantees the correct balance of the optical system. This mount guarantees safe and low-vibration accommodation even for small telescopes. The aluminum tripod can be adjusted and positioned with a height between 70cm and 120cm, and you can place eyepieces or other accessories in the accessory holder. The EQ mount, the second smallest, is extremely light and compact , fitting in almost all travel bags. Beginners can assemble it without problems, even children are able to use it. As an option we offer a tracking motor to mount on the right ascension axis.
