The SAL20 stereo microscope auxiliary lens is mounted on the objective lens cap by means of a thread. The system magnification increases (2x). The field of view is halved (compared to a conventional lens), and the working distance reaches 40.4 mm.
The auxiliary lens can be used as an additional device to add magnification if the magnification with the eyepieces is not enough or if they are not used at all. This is possible when a digital camera is connected to the system and used for observations.
