Celestron Barlow lenses double the magnification factor of your eyepieces, doubling the effective focal length. With a suitable set of eyepieces and a Barlow lens, you have, for example, various magnifications at your disposal with three eyepieces. This represents a more economical application than purchasing six eyepieces. Barlow lenses can be mounted on both the focus and the tube.
