Levenhuk 850B Biological Binocular Microscope

The Levenhuk 850B model is a binocular biological microscope with achromatic plan optics for brightfield observations with transmitted light. It is used in various types of general research medical centers, urology, dermatology, biology, biochemistry, pathological anatomy, and cytology.

The microscope is equipped with a 360° rotatable binocular head with a 30° inclination angle and a 4-objective revolving nosepiece. The revolving nosepiece with objectives is inward-facing: the user can see the objective inserted in the optical path, and the space above the stage is free. The interpupillary distance can be adjusted over a wide range. The kit includes 10x eyepieces with a 22mm field of view, allowing for observation of a wide area of the sample.

The microscope's focus is adjusted using coarse and fine focus knobs. The focus knobs move the stage in the vertical plane and also move it horizontally along two mutually perpendicular axes. The stage does not have a positioning rack. The lower position of the stage travel knob makes the instrument easy to use. The specimen holder is designed for two samples. Thanks to the smooth fine focus adjustment and the stage movement mechanism, the specimen holder moves smoothly and effortlessly.

Using an LED light source increases the microscope's resolution. The LED is mounted in the base, its brightness is adjustable and it lasts a long time before needing replacement. Aperture and field diaphragms allow for the use of the Köhler illumination method. The light source operates on an AC power supply (the kit includes a 220 V power cable).

Caution: Please refer to the specifications table for the correct mains voltage and never attempt to plug a 110V device into a 220V outlet or vice versa without using a converter. Remember that mains voltage is 110V in the US and Canada, and 220–240V in most European countries.
