The Levenhuk DTX 800 LCD is a professional-grade digital microscope designed for use in microelectronics, biology, medicine, forensics, and materials science. The microscope enables comfortable and detailed observation of small organic samples, tiny mechanical elements, plant sections, insects, and a wide range of other objects. The microscope's basic magnification ranges from 20x to 300x, but can be increased up to 1500x using its digital zoom. 

A 4MP digital camera with a sensitive CMOS sensor generates a high-quality image. The user sees a bright, clear, and highly detailed image on a 7-inch IPS screen with a 1024x600-pixel resolution. This setup ensures a comfortable viewing experience without eye or neck strain, which is common with conventional microscopes. The camera can also be used to capture photos and videos, with multiple resolution options available. Photos can be taken at 3MP or 2MP, with interpolation available for 16MP, 12MP, 10MP, 8MP, or 5MP. Videos are recorded at 1440p at a steady 30fps. The Levenhuk DTX 800 LCD supports microSD cards up to 128GB, which are needed to store the captured material.

The microscope features USB and HDMI interfaces. The USB connection is for transferring data to a computer and using the PortableCapture Plus software. The HDMI connection enables output to an external monitor or TV.

Bright LED illumination with adjustable intensity and a polarizing filter enhance the microscope's capabilities. The polarizing filter eliminates stray light reflections, which is especially useful when observing objects with shiny surfaces, such as metals, gemstones, and jewelry. A 90° rotation of the polarizing filter ring allows for the polarization effect. The focusing mechanism is manual, with a range of 5 to 70mm. The included software enables object measurement (line, radius, diameter, angle based on three points) and adding drawings and notes to images.

The Levenhuk DTX 800 LCD microscope is powered by a built-in 2500 mA·h Li-ion battery. A full charge takes 4.5 hours to complete. The microscope then provides 2 hours of continuous use. A charging adapter is included.

Note on the software: For correct operation, PortableCapture Plus (and its other versions) requires the microscope to be connected and turned on before launching the software.
