Objective for brightfield observations.
The resolution limit of the 100x/1.25 objective is 0.22 µm.
Chromatic aberrations are corrected for blue and red, spherical aberration for green, and field curvature is corrected for 90% of the field of view diameter.

The objective is designed for an infinity-corrected tube length. Parfocal distance is 45 mm. When using a 10/22 mm eyepiece, the field of view diameter is 0.22 mm. The objective is designed for use with samples with 0.17 mm cover slips.

The lower limit of useful microscope magnification, when using a 100x objective, is 625x. Lower magnification does not allow distinguishing details in the sample image formed by the objective.
The upper limit of useful magnification, when using a 100x objective, is 1250x. Higher magnifications are considered "empty" since they do not provide any new details in the sample image.
When using a 100x/1.25 objective, use 10x eyepieces to take advantage of the useful magnification of the microscope.

Plan achromatic objectives form an image that has the same focus in the center and at the edges, and therefore distortion is negligible. This strength is used for digital imaging and for combining with wide-field eyepieces with a 22 mm field of view.
