Correction of spherical aberration for better results

Flatfield Premium eyepieces correct spherical aberration, an image distortion. Its correction allows you to enjoy the entire visual field and not just the center of it, since the images are clearly seen to the extremes. They reproduce astronomical objects with total naturalness.

Multi-coating and clear images

At first glance, the size of the lens of these eyepieces is striking, through which you can see crystal clear images. The high quality of the 5-6 optical elements and high transmission provide images full of color and excellent contrast. This is noticeable in planetary observations, for example. Jupiter not only looks good, but also shows countless details and allows you to appreciate the differences in the structure of its bands.

Adjustable rubber eyecups

Continuous adjustment of the position of the rubber eyepiece for complete eye rest - ideal for prolonged observations. The models with focal lengths 16 mm, 19 mm and 27 mm allow observation with glasses.

Visual field between 58° and 65°

How is observing a large object with this eyepiece different from observing it with a standard Kellner or Plössl? To give a practical example, when observing the Lagoon Nebula with a Newton 8" yf/5 telescope using a standard eyepiece, part of the object remains outside our field of view. However, with this wide-angle model (approx. 19 mm) we can observe the object in its entirety. These eyepieces create fields of view that are 20-30% larger than standard models.

Many magnification factors - all in the same series

Flatfield Premium eyepieces are available in different focal length sizes: 27mm, 19mm, 16mm, 12mm and 8mm. With them you can achieve various magnification factors.
