The MAGUS BIT400 Lum 400 plate protects against stray light during fluorescence observations.

The light from the reflected light source not only illuminates the sample but also partially enters the condenser lens through the stage aperture. When reflected by the condenser optics, the light produces parasitic reflections. The stage plate covers the stage aperture, thus eliminating the cause of stray light.
