Omegon Powerbank 10k: portable power for small GoTo telescopes

One of the biggest advantages of compact azimuthal GoTo mounts is that they are very easy to transport. But their mobility is limited when you also have to carry heavy batteries to make them work. These huge accumulators are often oversized for the small telescopes they must move. Despite everything, until now they were the only alternative to operate the mount with batteries. However, telescopes are real battery guzzlers.

Omegon's economical and compact Powerbank 10k battery will not only take care of your pocket, but also the environment. It is very light and does not compromise your freedom of movement. Plus, you no longer have to juggle a battery pack: the Powerbank 10k simply plugs into the mount's 12V socket.

Inside it integrates a lithium-ion battery with a capacity (native at 3.7 V) of 10,000 mAh. This is equivalent to 37 Wh, or 3 Ah at 12 V, which will power a small mount for 4 to 6 hours.

Built-in safety features against short circuits, overcharging, deep discharge and overheating not only protect the battery, but also the telescope it powers.

The 12V plug (5.5x2.1, center positive) is compatible with most mounts. Attention: MEADE frames require a different plug (5.5x2.5). The Omegon Powerbank 10k can be used to power small azimuthal GoTo mounts, such as:
