Levenhuk New Skyline PRO 10" Dobsonian Telescope (250/1270)
Newtonian reflector on a Dobsonian mount. Aperture: 254 mm. Focal length: 1270 mm
The Levenhuk New Skyline PRO 10" Dobsonian Telescope is a modern astronomical instrument distinguished by its high optical performance. It is ideal for detailed study of solar system objects and deep-sky phenomena. Its optical elements are made of BK-7 glass and coated with aluminum, allowing it to achieve 92–95% reflectivity. This level enables effective observation of very distant or dim celestial objects. It also improves image clarity, as light reflects from the smooth mirror surface with minimal distortion. The telescope's primary mirror has a parabolic shape that ensures adequate light gathering and eliminates spherical aberration.
With a powerful 254mm aperture and 1270mm focal length, this telescope allows access to exceptional detail across the cosmos. It resolves lunar features down to 1.5 km, atmospheric phenomena on Mars and Jupiter, fine planetary structures like the Encke Gap, and countless deep-sky objects from the NGC catalog, including nebulae and galaxies. Under favorable atmospheric and observing conditions, you might even glimpse the dwarf planet Pluto as a tiny, star-like pinpoint! With these capabilities, the Levenhuk New Skyline PRO 10" is a powerful instrument for the experienced astronomer and an inspiring, future-proof foundation for a beginner's journey into astronomy.
The optical tube of the telescope is installed on a manual Dobsonian mount. The mount stands out for its high stability, ease of use, convenient aiming without specialized drives, and simple assembly/disassembly. The telescope is designed to operate in a temperature range of −5°C to +35°C. The optical tube assembly (OTA) is made of metal, while the Dobsonian mount is made of wood. The package includes the following accessories: 10mm and 25mm Plössl eyepieces (1.25") and an 8x40 optical finderscope.
