Levenhuk New Skyline PRO 12" (300/1525) Retractable Dobson Telescope
Newtonian reflector with a truss tube design on a Dobson mount. Aperture: 304mm. Focal length: 1525mm

The Levenhuk New Skyline PRO 12" Dobson telescope is a professional instrument for detailed observation, from the Moon and planets to deep-sky wonders such as nebulae, galaxies, and globular clusters.

Its 304mm aperture and 1525mm focal length provide exceptional light-gathering capability and high resolving power. The internal optical design of the telescope uses BK-7 glass elements. This material is highly valued in the optical industry for its homogeneity and mechanical strength. The primary and secondary mirrors are aluminum-coated, increasing their reflectivity to 92–95%. The parabolic primary mirror corrects spherical aberration by perfectly focusing all light to a single point, ensuring sharp images across the entire field of view. As a Newtonian reflector, this optical system is completely free of chromatic aberration, providing consistently crisp views with true color reproduction.

Designed for portability, the telescope uses an open truss tube system. It assembles quickly from sturdy components and stores in minimal space when disassembled. The optical tube is installed on a Dobson base. This mount is stable, robust, and built to last, making the Levenhuk New Skyline PRO 12" easy and intuitive to operate. The mount is made of processed wood, weighs 16.5 kg, and easily supports the considerable weight of the large optical tube (20.5 kg). The telescope package includes all necessary accessories to start observing right out of the box: an 8x40 optical finderscope, a cooling fan for the primary mirror, two Plössl eyepieces (10mm and 25mm, 1.25"), and a protective shroud to protect the optical tube components from dust and wind.

The telescope is designed for use in temperatures ranging from -5°C to +35°C. The best observation results are obtained in clear atmospheric conditions, on cloudless nights. For optimal performance, allow the optical system to thermally acclimate to outdoor conditions for 1.5 to 3 hours before observing, especially if not using the cooling fan.
