The series telescopes NexStar SLT They are manageable and affordable complete systems that offer the perfect springboard to the starry sky at the touch of a button. So anyone can dedicate themselves to astronomy!
A curved single-arm mount holds optics between 90 and 130 mm aperture. SLT is the acronym for Star Locating Telescope – All telescopes in this series are equipped with a automatic positioning system (GoTo) with which you can approach thousands of objects with the push of a button, without the need for experience or knowledge.
SKYALIGN system
Simply enter the date, time and location into the remote (models with GPS determine this data automatically) and locate three bright stars of your choice - you don't even need to know their name. You can also select bright planets or even the Moon. The NexStar computer system identifies these stars and adjusts the telescope accordingly.
Furthermore, the NexStar control offers an alternative procedure by which it approaches a single planet or a single star, in which case it is necessary to know its name.
These procedures are not only easily understandable for beginners, but also allow more experienced astronomers to begin the alignment at sunset, although it is then more difficult to identify the stars.
PWI TELESCOPE CONTROL SOFTWARE
This software has been developed in collaboration with PlaneWave Instruments and ensures the accuracy of GoTo tracking. For this, the technique of PointXP Mount Modeling , which is also used in Celestron's StarSense module and presents a more accurate model of the sky than manual control electronics. With the help of different reference stars, numerous alignment errors, up to telescope deviation, can be corrected.
In addition to high precision, this computer or laptop controlled system and its star chart are very easy to use and intuitive. Also, the software PWI has at its disposal a larger base of celestial objects than that of manual control. With an Internet connection, PWI can even access the professional astronomical database SIMBAD.
Connects to PC or laptop via USB 2.0. He software PWI is compatible with Windows 7, 8 and 10.
